  3. THE RATING OF COUNTRIES ACCORDING TO THE ESTIMATIONS OF THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM IN DAVOS (WEF) THIS YEAR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS TOOK INTEREST IN COMPETITIVENESS. THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS HAS APPROVED THE PROGRAMME OF STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT AND RISE OF COMPETITIVENESS OF THE BELARUSIAN ECONOMY. BELARUS HAS NOT BEEN IN THE LIST OF THE WEF. NEITHER 13 COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES, NOR “GROWTH POINTS” PRESENTED BY 62 LEADERS OF DOMESTIC INDUSTRY ATTRACTED THE ATTENTION OF THE EXPERTS FROM DAVOS.

Export of belorussian goods and services OF LATE TWO YEARS THE VOLUME OF GOODS AND SERVICES EXPORT INCREASED BY 9.5% AND 18.5% CORRESPONDINGLY IN 2002 MORE THAN A QUARTER OF THE BELARUSIAN EXPORT CONSISTED OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND TRANSPORT VEHICLES (25.9%) MINERAL PRODUCTS – 21% CHEMICALS – 17.7% HIGH TECHNOLOGY HAS A VERY SMALL SHARE IN THE ECONOMY. SO, IF IT IS CHEMICALS A SHARE OF PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT ACCOUNTS FOR ONLY 10%. IF IT IS MACHINERY, EQUIPMENT AND MECHANISMS A SHARE OF ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS IS 2.7%, ELECTRIC TRANSFORMERS – 3.5%, INSULATED CONDUCTORS – 2.5%.

INCREASE OF GOODS QUALITY ALLOWS: • TO WIDEN EXPORT • TO IMPLEMENT THE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS ON PRACTICE • HIGH LEVEL OF THE QUALITY OF PRODUCTS IS: ACCELERATION OF THE NEW TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS, INCREASE OF EXPORT, POWER, PROSPERITY, NEW SALES MARKETS. THE SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEM OF GOODS QUALITY AT THE ENTERPRISE MEANS HIGH IMAGE AMONG CUSTOMERS, ACCESS TO THE FOREIGN MARKET, BASIS FOR MAXIMUM PROFIT.
