  12. Wilderness serves multiple uses and provides many benefits.

  13. Endangered species and large predatory animals need a place to live and survive.

  14. National Park Ranger in 1936. Do you know who this is?

  15. President Gerald R. Ford in 1974 in a speech said “That preserving wilderness serves a vital need of all Americans, even those who may never visit a wilderness area. The preservation of a vital element of our heritage.”

  16. So how much Designated Wilderness Area do we really have?

  17. Theodore Roosevelt and John Muir in Yosemite National Park “Keep close to nature’s heart, climb a mountain or camp in the woods for a week. Wash your spirit clean.” John Muir
