2009 • Increased instructor access and visibility for students. • Purchased software Contribute to allow instructors to make themselves more visible to students and reachable by creating a web presence. • Provided training and support for this software. • Results • Software is institutionalized • Training materials developed • Provided training and development of at least 20 instructor pages.
2009 Introduced New Technology Tools to the SRC (now TLC) • Purchased 2 video/audio workstations for use by instructors to integrate both audio and video and multimedia modules into their curriculum • Purchased equipment and provided technical support for equipment to assist instructors in creating multimedia to integrate into their courses such as: • digital cameras • high speed scanner • card readers • color printer • production software
2009 • Purchased a DVD player/A/V Link and Media storage for the development of video and other forms of multimedia for instructional use. • Provide license for training modules on latest software to campus trainers through lynda.com to provide instructors with immediate help in the use of video editing and project planning.
2010 • Increased instructor use of multimedia tools by acquiring technology, and creating exposure and knowledge of such equipment for use in the development of their curriculum. • Purchased audio, visual, and mobile technology equipment • iPads • Flip cameras • Audio recording devices • Increased use of video, audio and interactive mobile device use in the classroom with training and loaner program.
2011 • The Staff Resource Center increased instructor use of engaging multimedia tools in the classroom in order to increase student retention and success by creating a “Smart Classroom” where teachers can receive training on the latest technology tools. • Provide the technology (headsets/mics (5) and storage devices (9) for CPU’s) needed for instructors to create multimedia learning objects • Provide the technology (9 - 24”wide monitors) needed for instructors to create multimedia learning objects
2011 • Created a new center called the Teaching and Learning Center specifically addressing staff and faculty training needs. The TLC offers: • A space for multimedia production in curriculum development and delivery. • A space for collaboration across departments and programs on campus. • A technology lab for teacher workspace and learning to increase access to technology and technology support. • A resource library for faculty and staff • A training classroom • A quiet place to work • Access to technology support staff
2012 • Increase usage and success of Teaching and Learning Center by providing computer utilizing existing plasma screen and cart. (Air Book)
