Digestive systems Parts • Salivary glands produce saliva • Pharynx serves as a path way to the Esophagus • Esophagus a tube that connects to the pharynx • Rectum is a chamber that ends at the large intestine  • Small intestine is a tube that absorbs 90% of are food • Large intestine a large tub that escorts the wastes       Stomach muscles  contract periodically, churning food to enhance digestion
