  4. $10,000.00 Question If your club had an extra $10,000.00 what community need would you want to see fulfilled?

  5. When Ideas Collide Miracles Begin To Happen It is time to ask the community for input A COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT!!

  6. A COMMUNITY NEEDS ASSESSMENT • Seeks the input of variety of community leaders • Seeks not only the needs of the community, but also, ways to meet those needs • Requires the Club to “buy into” expanding service projects to meet newly identified needs

  7. Steps to Success • Draft a cover letter (sample available) • Identify Community Leaders to contact

  8. Who Are the Community Leaders?

  9. Solicit Input Use what ever means of communication is best to secure the input of every community leader your club has selected to participate in the Community Needs Assessment

  10. And The Answers are? • Tabulate the results of the survey • Organize the input into related service needs • Share the results with your club • Prioritize the needs which have been identified • Select which need your club wants to meet

  11. Next • Formulate a Plan of Action • Implement the Plan of Action A New Service Project has been born!!

  12. The Job is not done until… • Thank you notes are written to community leaders • Plan of action is written down, adopted by club and communicated to DG, RC, ZC, GLT and GMT • Service Project is commenced
