Kogălniceanu 36-46, 050107 | București, ROMANIA Contact:zenocretu@yahoo.com • Bachelor of Science in Psychology • In Romanian, the Bachelor program lasts 3 years (in line with Bologna Accords). • There are smalldifferences between Romanian Universities regarding the Bachelor of Science in Psychology curricula.Thus, general psychology, experimental psychology, statistics, methodology, information technology, personality, psycho-diagnosis, cognitive psychology, social psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, educational psychology, clinical psychology, psychotherapy are common disciplines in all universities at undergraduate level. Psychology education in Romania is delivered by many universities. There are six main public and six private universities. The Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education provides accreditation for all these institutions. At all universities a secondary school diploma is required for admission. At most universities the admission test is based on an interview. Fewuniversities requires in presenta written exam for admission. . • Master of Science in Psychology The master programmes lasts 2 years in Romania. The main differencies between Romanian universities curricula appears at Master level. At University of Bucharest there are three main applied fields for MD programmes: Psycho-diagnosis and Psychotherapy,Organisational and Economic Psychology andEducational Psychology. • Carrier & practice • To gain the right of practice,graduatesneeds to obtain a certificate of practice from Psychologist’s College of Romania. A preliminary condition is the Master of Sience in Psychology diploma, or the proof of completion aprogramme ofprofessional supervision. • Employability • Graduatesin psychology may find work in (there are no official statistics available): • school and university education, research • counselling psychotherapy andmarriage guidance • psychological testing , HR management • forensiclaboratories and judicial evaluation • psychological assistance in health and social work institutions
