  1. TW Foresters AGM Monday 24 June 2019

  2. AGM: AGENDA • 2018/19Reports: • Chair – Stuart • Treasurer – Colin • Secretary – Andrew • Director of Football – Adam • CWO Sam & Marley • Vote of CMG  • AGM Look Forward to 2019/20 • Coaches Meeting

  3. Foresters 2019 AGM – Treasurer Update

  4. Foresters 2019 AGM – Treasurer Update

  5. Actions to Address the On-Going Deficit • Pitch costs – we will cancel all SG bookings over the holiday periods. This equates to approx. £1k pw x 6 weeks = £6k. • Kit & Equipment – This is more difficult to quantify but my sense is that there was a lot of catch-up spend in 2018-19. Either way we currently spend approx. £80 per player which seems much too high. Reducing the £80 to £70 provides a £5k annual benefit. • Subs – see next page. • Total benefit of above initiatives is £15k.

  6. Subs 1 – 2019/20 Rates • The Committee has reluctantly concluded that 2019/20 subs will increase by £8pa across all age groups. • Dev squad & mid-week only - £88 one off payment • Mini - £170 annual or £24 x 8 months • Junior - £245 annual or £34 x 8 months • KYL - £263 annual or £37 x 8 months • Assuming approx. 500 players this will raise an incremental £4,000pa.

  7. Subs 2 – Coaches Discount • The £50 per annum reduction for coaches remains in place for 2019-20. • Eligibility criteria – FA1 registered as at 1st Sept 2019 and all required certifications are up to date and valid to the end of the season (specifically being signed up to Licenced Coaches, Enhanced DBS Check, FA First Aid Training, Safeguarding Children Training). • This will be paid as a reimbursement once at least £50 of subs has been received. • The discount is per coach not per child. • 32 coaches took up this offer in 2018/19.

  8. Subs 3 – Collection • Same drill as 2018-19…. • From the first match of the season : NO PAY = NO PLAY • I will request the help of each year head to drill this message home to parents as well as chase unpaid subs where appropriate. • We do understand that there will be situations of financial difficulty. If so the parents / year head should approach me to discuss.

  9. Kit & Equipment – New Policy • Following Julian’s departure, Michelle Greenall has kindly agreed to facilitate the ordering of all Foresters branded kit. Once an order is approved, the year head should liaise with Michelle regarding quantum / sizes etc. • All Mini (inc U11) equipment orders need to be channelled through Joe & Mario. • All U12 and above equipment requests should go via me.

  10. Fines • Parents are expected to (and do) pay for fines associated with yellow / red cards etc. • We do not expect coaches to pay for other fines (generally related to match cards or unfulfilled fixtures). • We do expect coaches to proactively avoid routinely getting fined though.

  11. Conclusion • Despite the ongoing annual deficit, club finances remain broadly healthy and it is prudent to maintain a cash balance that enables the club to finance one-off unforeseen costs.

  12. Secretary - 2019/2020 season • Pitchero has been updated for the new season • Kent FA affiliation has been submitted • League forms submitted for 6 leagues • 44 teams in total (1 senior ladies, 17 junior, 21 minis, 5 girls) • 429 players registered (excludes development squad) • 81 managers/coaches/assistants registered

What does the Role Entail? • Applies from the Development squad to the U11’s. • Working in liaison with Year Group Heads, the MSC will be responsible for pitch allocations, and running Bayham (lock up supervision, parking, welcoming visiting teams..) • Equipment management – ordering, tracking, advising, recycling across age groups • Kit management – working in conjunction with Michelle, tracking orders. • Developing a network with Year Heads. • Age appropriate coaching direction and session plans. • Sharing best practice / philosophies across all age groups in liaison with Adam Downes.
