How does someone work out the number of calories they burn when running? • If someone wants to work out the number of calories they are burning when running. They should times their weight by their distance and by 1.036 . • My doughnut is a Glazed doughnut it has 220 calories I have ate it and I want to loose the calories of the glazed doughnut. • What will I do!!!!!???? • Example: • Weight: 45 kg (kilometers Distance ran: 7.6 km (kilometers) • 45x7.6x1.036= 354.312 • You have lost 354.312 calories.
How does someone work out the number of calories that are in a doughnut ? How did you work this Out? • If someone wants to work out how many calories that are in a doughnut the should they should divide the calories by kilograms and times it by 1.036. • What will I do!!!!!???? • Example: • I ate a Glazed doughnut and I don’t know how many calories are in it and I want to loose these calories. • Calories = 354.312 weight: 45 kg (kilograms) • 354.312 divided by 45 times 1.036 = 8.1570496
How can knowing how to do arithmetic with decimals help you make a good health decision? • Arithmetic helps you a lot to create a healthy life. It helps you to make a table or to calculate how many km you have to run to loose the food that you have ate. • Example: • I ate a pie that and I want to loose that pie that I have ate, arithmetic helps you and makes it easier to find the calories that you need to loose.
Which part [or parts] of the learner profile did you develop during this unit? • In this unit my learner profile that I have developed is REFLECTIVE.I was REFLECTIVE because in this unit I was able to show and understand how to find out how many calories from the things you eat or how many calories have I loss from the distance I have walked or ran and lots more I have learned.
What have I learned? • In this unit I have learned: • How you work out how many calories have you lost when you were running. • How far you have to run to burn the calories in the doughnut. • What arithmetic means.
