Lisa Bachman Executive Director, Different Like You Lisa@DifferentLikeYou.org 216-570-3243 Different Like You is an organization that empowers people to embrace their differences and live loud via an online outlet, interactive events, and in-school and corporate programming. Our Capes Program is an incredible way to bridge team building, philanthropy, and community into a massively powerful experience. The program is designed to take participants on a journey of self-discovery while globally connecting them with kids in need.

  3. Lesson 1: Be open to learning, no matter where it comes from

  4. U.S. News & World Report: 1 in 3 full time employees find it hard to maintain a healthy work/life balance

  5. Even more troubling: 1 in 4 adults deal with mental illness 20% of youth age 13-18 experience a mental disorder 90% of students in grades 4-8 report being bullied 1 of every 68 children has autism 40-50% of married couples in the U.S. divorced in 2015

  6. Lesson 2: You don’t have to be a Super Hero, Its really OK to ask for help

  7. Lesson 3: This too shall pass

  8. Lesson 4: Ask for help with a prioritized plan!

  9. Lesson 5: OWN YOUR CHOICES! I Got This!

  10. Lesson 6: Don’t be afraid to be vulnerable

  11. Lesson 7: Don’t play the victim

  12. Lesson 8: Approach problems with solutions focused on RESULTS

  13. Lesson 9: People who make mistakes are not bad people They are HUMAN

  14. Lesson 10: Control what you can control

  15. Lesson 11: Identify Your strengths Strengths of your kids Strengths of your co-workers

  16. Lesson 12: Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about

  17. Lesson 13: You don’t have to like everyone Everyone isn’t going to like you

  18. Lesson 14: Everyone, everyone, everyone Has a gift to offer

  19. Lesson 15: Allow yourself time to be upset
