Session 6 Objectives: • Allpupils will be able to summarise their findings about flooding between two different countries. • Mostpupils will be able to suggest how flood prevention may be improved in other countries. • Somepupils will be able to suggest economical and political reasons for these differences in impacts, preparedness and recovery in different countries.

  3. Venn Diagram: Think of the effects of flooding in BOTH areas and put them into the diagram. Pakistan UK

Flooding Council • You will be split into two teams with a team leader assigned for each team. • You have to argue the following question: • Pupils need to research using the material from previous lessons, books and the internet. • They should look at: • Disease • Biodiversity • Flood defences • Infrastructure • Population and food supplies Should more money be spent on flood prevention in the UK or Pakistan?
