Getting things done Potential for wide innovation ‘alliance’ with a small shared ‘entity’, perhaps with the following principal functions: • Broker/ interface between the national innovation agenda (BIS/ TSB) and the local economic growth agenda (LEPs) • Forum for range of partners to develop and oversee a shared framework to catalyse innovation for growth • Resource and service sharing for effectiveness and efficiency, eg co-locations or shared promotion strengths • Initiation and catalysis of new activity eg collaborative demonstrator projects or shared infrastructure, to be subsequently delivered or run by partners
The Virtual Community: Innovation Futures West Midlands The network has been created on LinkedIn to facilitate and drive forward a collective approach to innovation. It will enable useful discussion and information exchange (news feeds from TSB and Birmingham Science City already set up). It will support collaborative action and networking within the innovation agenda by business, research organisations, universities and public sector organisations.
