Summary of Action • Lorenzo assures Portia that Antonio is worthy enough to help • Bassanio and Antonio so inseparable that Portia believes saving her husband’s friend is no different than saving her husband • Nerissa and Portia will reside in a nearby monastery, leaving Lorenzo and Jessica to rule the estate in their absence • They will dress up as the doctor (boys) in the court case • Portia sends Balthazar off to Doctor Bellario with a letter explaining
