  7. Goals For Lowline Steer • Goal #1: Learn how to handle cattle. • Goal #2: Get halter broke before January. • Goal #3: Learn how to show cattle properly. What Did I Learn? • How to halter break a steer. • How to show my steer properly. • How to care for my steer and get the right feeding proportions.

  8. Family Animal Chores • Freshman through Junior Year I care for three horses and three of our dogs. • I do not receive pay for this SAE. • Expenses: Vary due to feed prices. • Total Hours: 96

CDE’S{Career Development Events} • 2009 - Plant and Soils - Ag Sales - Tractor Driving • 2010 - Animal Judging - Ag Sales • What Did I Learn? • How to sell a product and advertise properly. • How to operate a Tractor and drive it properly. • How to identify certain plants and what soil is best fit for certain climates. • How to properly judge an animal.
