Group 3 • 1st priority: need Policy Framework (not just the loose elements in typical of policy address), to include requirement to • Review legislation, e.g. BO, B(EE)R, EIAO, Mandatory BEC, TPO-OZP • Review related codes and practices, e.g. OTTV Code, AVA acceptance criteria, AVA extend to private development • Which departments to review? • BD, PlanD, LD (DNB) • Should include public consultation during review

Group 5 • Need to review • Drainage design manual • Port works manual • Relevant structural design guidelines • How • Departments • Implementation • Will need to rely on risk assessment to develop various options of risk exposure for decision making (by consultancy work) • Short term (say 2015) • Look at

  4. drainage design • Materials (Noise, etc.) • Dept, TD, etc. • May need consulting study • The updates need to be reflected in the standards

  5. Need to implement from planning stage (beginning) • E.g. similar to preliminary strategic IA • Need expertise to use tool, to assess potential technical impacts,

  6. observations • Brainstorming starting from technical details and flowing back up to the ordinance level • What are the numbers we need for design? We don’t know…
