Plagiarism • An act or instance of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author’s work as one’s own, as by not crediting the original author. Example: Mr. Conlon ripping off the above statement from dictionary.com

  3. Author Citation • Must identify author and page number when referencing or quoting Carol Herschel asserts that Stalin was a complete jerk (234). OR Stalin was a complete jerk (Herschel 234).

  4. Internet Citation • Must identify the website. Do NOT need to include entire URLs • http://www.cnn.com is not necessary • CNN.com works fine According to CNN.com, Russian president Vladimir Putin is acting like a complete jerk OR Vladimir Putin is acting like a complete jerk (CNN.com)

  5. Bibliography • Must include a bibliography at the end of your project. (20 points) • Book example: Smith, James. The Rise of Global Poverty: A Fight for Survival. New York: Anchor Book, 2003. • Internet example: Cohen, Howard. “The Fight Against AIDS in Africa.” Doctors Without Borders. 4 August 2009. <www.doctorswithoutborders.org>
