What is castAR? • Projected augmented reality system that displays holographic-like 3D projections • Uses glasses with two micro projectors that are capable of 720p high definition resolution • Projectors reflect light into the eye • Requires no calibration or adjustment • Provides a true Augmented Reality or Virtual Reality experience
Brief History • Created by Jeri Ellsworth and Rick Johnson who are former employees of Valve Software • Both were fired from Valve during the “great cleansing,” although were engaged with a project involving augmented reality glasses • They quickly created Technical Illusions shortly after they left to commercialize the hardware
