Properly Define It • Four types of love in the Greek language: eros (eros) storgh (storge) pilew (phileo) agaph (agape)
Properly Define It • Erosattraction between male and female • The WORD is not in the New Testament • Genesis 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife… • Matthew 1:25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.
Properly Define It • Eros is a sensual, sexual love • Creates the warm fuzziez and the adrenaline rush • DOES NOT LAST • Outside of marriage, it must be controlled • A relationship built on it will crumble • II Samuel 13:15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he had loved her.
