  1. FOREVERMORE By Tami Paish

  2. Hells awake, hells asleep Open wide my helms deep Dreaded fears open wide To show what I feel inside Dreams of love have broken me While passion and hate envelope me When sky meets earth and heaven meets hell Will I be able to still tell Hw much you have changed And then passed on the blame Break me now my spirit swells With distrust I am now compelled To kill everything that makes me well So break me now just break me now Fires in my cauldron bubble Though I dare not toil or cause trouble For you have done enough of that. I burn away sins and turmoil For I am full of pain and grief That you have shared with me in brief I throw away all my pain For it has caused me no gain I give away all my hope For it is just a broken rope You have done this to my heart Never again will you dare to start For when you do I will lay a curse upon you That thy own hands are idle at best Until we lay you down to rest Only until that last time will you remember this little rhyme And then still you will forget Just how much you regret These evil things that you have done.

  3. For now just run my little one Run from everything that you know For it is soon your time to go Today may not be the day Neither may it be the next But on my life I promise this No longer will we share true loves kiss Not again will I linger For no longer do I hunger For your touch so tender So go on and be free, be free indeed For I no longer need your greed Take it back I will succeed Without your need for me Leave me now in sweet peace For forever will you be in pieces for I am sick of your control Leave me now for I am whole I now have my self-control And now behold I am happy For I am no longer your lackey I am my own. I will be known. As my own forevermore.

  4. Summary The whole point of this poem is that an old relationship has ended and the writer was bitter and hurt from the way that their partner treated him/her. He curses in anger, and declares his/her independence at the end saying how he/she will be a whole on his/her own now, and doesn’t need the other to feel like a whole or even like a person.

  5. Critique of the poem. This poem is an expression of many feelings and past experiences. They are expressed threw speaking of hell and gates leading to hell . Anger is also expressed threw the curses to the other party. Metaphors are used in a few places here to show how something's have lost their meaning as in “hope” is compared to a or said to be a “broken rope”. I chose this poem because its meaning is very close to my heart, and means a lot to me and to my past. This poem doesn’t have to be about a lover but it can also be about a father or a mother or some sort of controlling relationship. It relates to everyone in some way. The mood is very differentiated threw out the poem it is mostly anger and grief. But turns to a bold confidence of self.

  6. Questions 1.This poem can be about many kinds of relationships between many different people. How many different relationships can you name? 2.In the second line the word helms deep is present, what do you think this is or this means to the writer? 3.If you could change 1 of the few select repeated words in this poem what one would you change and what would you change it to?? 4.How does this poem speak to you, what relationship do you see in it most? 5.Would you shorten this poem if you had a chance to re-write it?
