  7. Château fort de Lourdes • Château fort de Lourdes is a fortress from the Middle Ages. It stands on a hill and thus has an excellent view of the city of Lourdes and the Pyrénées. A museum within the Château contains furniture and paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. The towers, walls, and drawbridge of the fortress are intact. The Château was used to defend Lourdes and control trade routes with Spain.
