Reasons • She was an actor as a child • Was on Broadway when she got here
Irene was married to Edgar Becman • Who she later divorced in 1917 • She then married again on October 24 1918 to Broadway producer and lyricist E. Ray Goetz who produced many of her Broadway shows.
Occupation • At age 17 she made her Broadway debut in a Shubert brothers production at the winter garden theatre. • She sang many times both live and on the radio. • In 1929 her Broadway play Paris was adapted to a talkie in which she reprised her starring role.
