Improving Horizons (Uni Café/Bar) By – Will Ward - KamPanesar - Rachel Philogene – Siobhan Whittington – Emily Vella – Gabby Finney
Background.. • Canterbury Christ church is home to approximately 17,900 however only 1000 of these actually go to Broadstairs campus the other 16,900 attends campus around Kent. • Students attending the Broadstairs can attend a variety of courses from media and music to childcare and policing. • The majority of courses are creative and we should target the design at these students.
Target Audience… • The majority of people that use Horizons currently are between 18-30 (male and female). • As older individuals tend to have a busy lifestyle and don’t have the time to socialize, the rest of the students should not be ignored the design should appeal to all ages, demographics and nationalities. • http://www.canterbury.ac.uk/about/publications/facts-and-figures/index.asp
Results.. • To get more of an accurate look at how we could tackle this brief, we thought of creating a questionnaire which we handed out during a busy lunch time in horizons. (To be specific, it was around 1:00pm on a Friday Afternoon). http://www.canterbury.ac.uk/support/catering Students-Union/studentunionbuilding.asp • We managed to get a variety of results which are viewable within the next few slides..
