Background of our company • Marqus has worked at the Tampa Yacht and Country Club since 2008 • The company already had a database in place to keep track of information but it wasn’t creating useful reports and output • We took some of the information the database in place had but made more of an emphasis on the events and memberships of our customers
Business Value • The Yacht club had record that the customer purchased an event but not details of that event • We decided to include the event type, number of attendees, location, customer rating, event planner and number of employees so we could track these traits to determine our most successful events • We also gave each customer their own ID so we could monitor specific customers purchases to better market our services to them
Our Database • Our 3 main tables included Customers, Events and Membership • The reports we found useful are: • A schedule of events and how many employees are needed • Events sorted by who planned them • Our gold members and when their memberships end so we can try and renew their membership • When customers memberships end and start so we can verify they have an active membership • Where customers have their yacht docked
