CFAR CAB • Goals • To inform the Bronx community about HIV-related research occurring at Einstein/Montefiore • To provide CFAR investigators with feedback and perspective to guide content and implementation of studies that address community issues and difficult-to-reach populations • Structure • Established February 2012 • Meetings every 3-4 months

  3. CAB organizations • CAB organizations represent different communities affected by HIV • Drug users • Latino, African-American groups • LGBT • Faith-based groups • Homeless • Local government • Recently incarcerated • National coalitions

  4. CAB activities • CFAR pilot grant • Required collaboration between CFAR investigator and community organization • Other activities to facilitate collaboration • Meet & greet event • Guest speakers at CFAR CAB meetings • CAB members to attend CFAR retreat • Other activities???
