It also stimulates new brain cells. • Nutrition A healthy diet gives you the energy you need and helps you to feel good about yourself. • Sleep Lack of sleep is a major cause and effect of stress. Without sleep our bodies are unable to function properly and that makes you stressed. • Time Management Manage your time wisely. Make a list and put things in order from most important to least important.
Do You Keep A Diary!? • A great technique is to keep a diary to manage stress. Many times when you write things down they become easier to deal with. You can also include funny quotes or memories in your diary. Remember laughter is the best medicine!
Relaxation Techniques • Visualization Just close your eyes and daydream about floating on a cloud or standing on top of a mountain. • Meditation Think of a word or phrase and concentrate on that word as you inhale and exhale slowly. • Yoga Yoga is a series of postures that focus on the mind body and soul • Music Choose music that you enjoy and just sit back and relax

Many people take part in those activities because they are stressed. Even after the tobacco and alcohol are gone your problems will still be there. Instead of running away or covering up stress, try to manage it and prevent it from getting worst.
