WOW (Word of the Week) • Each week we will have a designated word for that week • If you find the WOW word anywhere, you can write it down on the spreadsheet. • I will submit the spreadsheet to WOW central and your child will have a chance to win a WOW cape. Some students who participate will even get the chance to be recorded reading the WOW word on our morning announcements. • Extra sheets are available if you are interested
Grading • We use a 4, 3, 2, 1 scale • 4 means they are working about what is expected currently • 3 means they are exactly where we want them to be • 2 means they are struggling a little but still making progress or gains • 1 means they are not making sufficient gains where we think they will catch up without interventions and extra help • Tests get graded by points, points will add up to the scale • I send all tests home in their home work folder as soon as they are graded and recorded (Except some in the first quarter- saved for conferences) • I do not need the tests back. If you have a question you can send it back with the test for me to review.
