  2. Grading Policy • Students are expected to complete all assignments to the best of their ability. • Students will be graded according to the following scale: • 90-100=A • 80-89=B • 70-79=C • 60-69=D • 59 or below = F

  3. Homework • Students are expected to read for thirty minutes each day as homework and write a one paragraph response to their reading. • Homework is collected each Friday. • Students are expected to document three days of reading with a written response.

  4. Classwork • Students are given work to complete daily in class. • Journal • Grammar • Cornell Notes

  5. Standards • All assignments given are in accordance with the California State Standards for English Language Arts. • The standards can be reviewed at the following website: • http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/index.asp

  6. Projects • Quarterly projects will be completed by each student. • These projects consist of writing assignments and presentations. • E.g. Autobiographical Narrative, Biographical Narrative, Research Paper, Persuasive Essay
