Before entering into Bollywood Industry, Rakul Preet was a successful model. She started modeling when she was in college, her all model gigs were so hit that it leads to the sets of first debut film Gilli- a Kannada flick in 2009. After her first film, she continued her modeling. In 2011 she participated in various shows like Femina Miss India Pagent & won five pagent titles. After winning pagent titles, Rakul decided to work on films & went on to work in Keratam to make a debut in Telugu film circuit & Thadiyaara Thaaka To make entry into Tamil Cinema.

  1. Rakul Preet- Journey of a new face in Bollywood Before entering into Bollywood Industry, Rakul Preet was a successful model. She started modelling when she was in college, her all model gigs were so hit that it leads to the sets of first debut film Gilli- a Kannada flick in 2009. After her first film, she continued her modelling. In 2011 she participated in various shows like Femina Miss India Pagent & won five pagent titles. After winning pagent titles, Rakul decided to work on films & went on to work in Keratam to make a debut in Telugu film circuit & Thadiyaara Thaaka To make entry into Tamil Cinema. Then after little success in Tamil cinema, she decided to make debut in Bollywood in a film Yaariyan which was not a successful movie, Rakul was not seen in Bollywood for three years as after wrapping up with Yaariyan, she already started to work for Telugu movies as her movie was quite successful before Yaariyan. She had a bunch of Telugu movies, decided to focus on south movies. As per some reports, She did a Hindi film with Raj Kumar Rao but that didn’t release, then her Telugu career was getting bigger. Rakul was also supposed to work in MS DHONI(The Untold Story) but she already had a lot of films. She highly believes that hard work will always pay off & never shied away from admitting her struggles. Like all other newcomers, she had a dream of working with Dharma Productions but she believes that one day it will become reality. But when she got a call for the role in Ayaari also starring Siddharth Malhotra, immediately accepted that offer because she had done a lot of work in South, now she wanted to take the limelight in Bollywood. Again the film was not that much successful as she thought but another film offer came for her i.e. De De Pyaar De along with Ajay Devgan & Tabu. She is a fitness enthusiast for her role in De De Pyaar De as she lost 8kgs to get into the right shape for the character. Rakul believes that this movie can rejuvenate her career in Bollywood as the story is about the relationship of a young girl & an old man. There is a film like that released last year was Badhaai Ho which gained a lot of attention so De De Pyaar De can also receive that much attention. Fortunately, it went well in the box office, gained a decent amount. And the audience appreciated it, now her another film is coming around November Marjavan along with Siddharth Malhotra & Tara Sutaria.
