Negation • Negation means how to say “not” in English. • To say ‘not’ in French you add ne ……….. pas • This goes around the verb. • Je suis grand. Je nesuispas grand. • However, if the verb begins with a vowel then the ‘ne’ changes to ‘n’ ‘. • Elle estgrande. Elle n’estpasgrande.
