Goal & 2013 Strategies • Goal: • Enable consistent contractual flow down of 9100 standards from Defense Agencies • Collaborate with Defense Agencies to assure their quality standards are harmonized with the 9100 series of standards • Long-Term Strategy: • Actively participate with NATO during the creation of New AQAP Quality Standards • Maintain strong collaboration with Japanese Ministry of Defense • Work with the Defense Stakeholders and the IAQG 9100 Writing Team to broker a valued and well supported new standard • Address DCMA’s perceptions that the IAQG certification scheme is ineffective in assuring product quality • Appoint new Leader of the Defense Team
Objective Evidence - 1 • NATO Quality Management System Requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense Suppliers • Released 11-Apr-2013 • Based on 9100:2009 with additional requirements • IAQG provided key support to NATO Working Group 2
Objective Evidence - 2 • Japanese MOD published latest Revision of DSP Z 9008 in April-2013 • Published in Japanese only • Unification of DSP Z 9008 and JIS Q 9001:2009 • Based on 9100:2009 with additional requirements • Nonconformity Mgmt (MRB) • Engineering Verification (Testing)
Objective Evidence - 3 • Reviewed and evaluated all “additional requirements” in newly released AQAP-2310 and DSP Z 9008 • Determined which requirement were appropriate for consideration for incorporation in 9100:2016 • Formally submitted proposed changes the 9100 Series Revision Team by the 31-Jul-2013 deadline
Objective Evidence - 4 • Tim Lee and Dale Gordon (honorary members of the Defense Team) attended the AIA-QAC meeting held in Washington DC on 24-Sep-2013 • Tim and Dale presented the OPMT and ICOP Scheme to the attendees including Mike Shields of Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) • Significant progress was made to improve Mr. Shields perception of the IAQG’s certification scheme • Mr. Shields has shown an interest in participating in the RMC
