  4. Due dates • Tomorrow: Rough draft of paragraph • Handwritten two pages or typed single page • Monday: Introduction and conclusion draft • Wednesday and Thursday: Chromebook days in class • Friday: complete essay due (one submission per group!)

  5. Peer Rubric • Meets agreed upon deadlines • Contact outside of class to work • Accepts feedback • Provides EFFECTIVE feedback • Makes requested changes

  6. Group Essay Grading • Ideas and content • Organization • Word choice • Sentence fluency • Conventions • ASK QUESTIONS PLEASE! • I want you to be very comfortable with these pieces and understand the criteria completely (or at least thoroughly)

  7. Independent reading / Writing • Take the next few minutes to read and catch up to Jane through chapter 20 • Silent time

  8. Group work • Work to meet tomorrow and Monday’s deadlines • Keep your rubric in mind! • When the bell rings, make sure you have your study guide and rubric • Please return your book to the stack by the door • Have a great fall day!
