  2. The mission of NTF • To support the transformation of society and the economy throughhuman resource developmentin the Czech Republic • To contribute to the development oflife-long learning • To support the process ofEuropean integration

HRD Strategy • NTF has developed policy papers which set up key strategic aims in HRD: • enhancing the competitivenessof national human potential in the labourmarket • increasing the employability, adaptibility and flexibilityof the labour force • improving the competitiveness of Czech companiesand national economy

HRD Strategy On March 2003 the Czech governmentadopted the Strategy of HRD for the Czech republic Consequently theNational Council for Human Resources Development has been established • In the Council representatives of ministries, employers, trade unions and regions carry equal weight • The Council will constitute an institutional instrument for implementing HRD priorities Following this process Regional Councils for HRD are beeing established in Czech regions

Our present main tasks National coordination of Vocational Education and Training envisages following problem areas: • Availability:infrastructure, information system, careerscounseling, vocational guidance, funding, legislative • Quality:standards of quality, acreditation of institutions and educational programs, improving professional skills of training managers • Validation:the national system of qualifications, certification of competences; motivation of social partners – mainly employers - for cooperation in the process of certification in adult education
