The institute is responsible for the conception of the education, providing of the specialized training in medicine, the registration of the education and evaluation of the medical skills. There was a substantial change of requirements for all trainees valid from 1st of July 2009. All trainees have the logbook which serves for recording the passed training parts by the professors which supervided the practice. The requirements of the psychiatric training are depicted in the tables. The training of child and adolescent psychiatry is possible to start after passing the trainig in adult psychiatry or in pediatrics. Table 3. Training in Child and Adolescent psychiatry . Additional training in adult psychiatry. Number of adult psychiatry trainees: 90 The organization of the psychiatric training is beening revised continuously. There are some dissatisfied voices concerning new training conditions.There are attemps to balance the demands of the training with requirements of the psychiatric care and taking care of conditions for the trainees. The current situation is still in progress. The situation of the training is infulenced by the independent professional organization The Young Doctors (Mladí lékaři). Information were collected from the Ministry of Health, Czech Medical Chamber, the Institute of Postgradual Education in Health Service.
