AEF Design Development • Working Group Goal: To develop and effectively promote an accountable education funding reform proposal for the 2015 Legislative Session. • Proposed Timeline: Aug & Sept: Requirements Study Circles Oct: Proposals for Consideration Nov: Research & Evaluation Dec: Bill & Roadmap

AEF Design Development • Reform Objectives: • Publicly fund substantially equal access to excellent education opportunities across rural, suburban and urban communities. • Establish thresholds for minimum education opportunity and cost effectiveness • Cultivate sufficient simplicity and transparency to support superior governance. • More equitably and broadly distribute tax burden for expenditures across communities and taxpayers. • Leverage and promote community engagement in the success of our schools.
