Weekly News 9-19-13 • Important Dates: • Sept. 23: Have 1-inch notebooks • Sept. 25: Bank Day • What are We Learning? • Math: Multiplication fluency, adding 2-digit numbers, adding 3-digit numbers • Language Arts: Reviewing, subjects & predicates, combining sentences, compound words • Reading: Sequencing, narrative nonfiction genre, • Vocabulary: • admires 5. practicing • classmate 6. pronounce • community 7. scared • contribute 8. tumbled • Science: Parts of a plant, life cycles of plants & animals Reminders: We have P.E. this 6 weeks, which starts Mon., Sept. 23, so please remind students to wear their tennis shoes every day! Many students already have these & do not need another. (Target has these for $1!) • We will put our agendas in these and this will help to eliminate our daily green folders, as I’ve found that they have become irrelevant. If possible, please have these for your student by next Monday, Sept. 23. • Also, we are in need of the following items: • Post-it notes • Dollar Tree digital timers • Quart-sized Ziploc bags • Paper towels
