  1. Hosa Meeting 9/19/13 Welcome former & new members! 

  2. REMIND 101 • Whip out them cellphones, HOSA members! • I will be bothering you with reminders and updates about meetings, field trips, fees, etc.  TEXT @mysucias TO (954) 204-3304

  3. Club fees • Collection will begin on September 30th and will end October 4th • $45 fee  • $14 Regional Dues • $12 State Dues • $10 National Dues • $9 Club Dues • Don’t pay your club fee? NO HOSA FOR YOU (unless you give us a note explaining your financial circumstances)

  4. Sponsorship • Sponsorship letter can be found on the website • Financial sponsors: health facilities, rehab centers, pharmaceutical companies, etc. (must be small companies) • Present letter to potential sponsors asking them for the possibility of donating towards TERRA HOSA • To be featured on T-Shirt, companies must donate $1,000 or above • Miami Family Event Wellness & Lifestyle Expo • Where? Fair Expo Center • When? 9/20 from 6pm to 10pm, 9/21 from 10am to 9pm, 9/22 from 10am to 7pm • Take your family and your sponsorship letter to approach healthcare booths! • Website:http://www.miamifamilyevent.com

Formal uniform • Males: Black/navy blazer; black/navy dress pants; closed-toe black/navy shoes; white, buttoned-down, collared shirt; burgundy tie • Females: Black/navy blazer; black/navy dress pants (or knee-length skirt pero that’s too sucia); black/navy closed-toe shoes (don’t overdo it with the heels pls); white, buttoned-down, collared shirt; burgundy tie or ascot is optional • FOLLOW THE DRESS CODE or you will not be admitted to any leadership conference event

  10. HOSA WEBSITE FEATURES • Laugh at your officers’ yearbook pictures or e-mail one of us directly under the “Officers” tab

  11. HOSA WEBSITE FEATURES • “HOSA Event Calendar” shows important dates of leadership conferences, award ceremonies, competitions, deadlines, etc.

  12. HOSA WEBSITE FEATURES • “Competitions” tab lists the competitions corresponding to each VP

  13. HOSA WEBSITE FEATURES • “Alumni” shows you past HOSA members from last year’s graduating class :’(

  14. COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT TIME • Split up depending on competition VP • Follow your competition VP, and pay attention to their presentations on your specific competition
