  4. Gospel • Powerful and transformative good news! The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. Luke 4:18-19

  5. Transformation • Central idea: Jesus has called us by grace into a new life of freedom, and we are to let nothing sidetrack us from living this new life. • God called you in the grace of Christ. ~Gal 1.6 • Live by faith in the son of God. ~Gal 2.20

  6. Grace • The power of God to do the very thing I am powerless to do. • God does in me and for me what I cannot do for myself. “The hand that reaches out to receive grace is faith.” ~CBS Commentary

  7. Grace Worth Preserving:~Galatians 2 • Preserve Unity • Call one another back to grace • Continue in Grace • Take steps to live in freedom: • Do I trust anything lesser than Jesus? • Am I in step with the truth of the gospel? Ask God to draw me back!
