Time: 9:00a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007 Place: Multipurpose Room, Level 4, Desmarais Multidisciplinary Building 55 Laurier Avenue East, Ottawa 2007 Massey Medalist, Dr. Eddy Carmack, an internationally respected expert on the Arctic Ocean, will be the Opening Plenary speaker at the 2007 National Conference of the Ocean Management Research Network. A climate change oceanographer with Fisheries and Oceans Canada in Sidney, B.C., Dr. Carmack’s presentation will draw together aspects of climate, resources and human issues affecting the Arctic Oceans today. Purpose of the Canada Ocean Lecture series is first and foremost to create awareness of our vast marine environment and its importance to Canadians. Entrée gratuite au public.
