AACVPR Mission Statement To reduce morbidity, mortality, and disability from cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases through education, prevention, rehabilitation, research, and aggressive disease management
AACVPR Strategic Plan • Each strategic initiative must be related to our mission • Strategic initiatives are developed annually at the Strategic Planning Meeting every December • Each initiative may have several objectives • The plan is made operational by the Annual Plan of Work • Develop strategies around each objective • Strategic Plan + Plan of Work provide a blueprint for the annual agenda that will guide leadership, Board of Directors, annual budget development, and administration
2007 Strategic Initiatives 1. Develop strategies to increase referrals to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services (NEW) 2. Increase membership in AACVPR to advance the mission of the organization (ONGOING) 3. Enhance reimbursement for CR and PR services (ONGOING)
