  2. Where were they found? The earliest tools of this type come from the region west of Lake Turkana in Kenya. Other tools were found in Eurasia, Asia and Europe.

  3. Archeulean Tools Archeulean tools are stone tools used by the pre-modern (pre-Homo sapiens) human cultures. The Radiometric dating shows this particular stone tool industry lasted from around 1.65 million years ago to about 100,000 years ago. Flint hand ax from St. Acheul, France.

  4. What do they tell us about the people of that time? These tools tells us that the people that used these tools were quite sophisticated. They were able to use the tools for multi-purposes. For instance they were able to hunt with these tools, slice hides for clothing, butcher carcasses, dig roots and chop wood.
