To receive items you are asked to bring: · Photo ID · Social Security Card · Or Proof Of Income This service is available once per season. Hours: Monday & Wednesday: Noon-2pm Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9:30am - 2pm • Contacted closest location. • Confirmed their information. • Collected thorough • explanation of their services. • Received approval of slip before using.
Results • Cargo van full of suitcases and toiletries. • (50+ suitcases and bags) • Large community involvement. • Now asking about next Community Outreach Programs. • Assisted in sign-ups for SR Program. • Created strong relationships between PPL, Shelter, and Salvation Army for future programs.
Tips for your next Community Outreach Program • Find out what your community would need. • Don’t be afraid to ask for input or partnerships from other organizations. • Always be sure to announce progress to community and ALWAYS thank your patrons and those who contributed.
