Strategy Madrid, 5. november 2012 Anne Asserson, euroCRIS/University of Bergen
Key issues of the euroCRIS strategic plan • 1. Promotion of CERIF • 2. Increased membership • 3. Website • 4. Strategic partners • 5. OA community to move from DC to CERIF • 6. EU funded project to demonstrate capability
Major achievements • All the little JISC project and UK • Spead of commercial applications (more or less) CERIF compatible • Projects: • EuroRIs-Net+, OpenAIREPlus, ENGAGE • New partners: • increasing strategic partners (EASSH, VIVO, COAR) • increasing initiatives (VIVO-LATTES-CASRAI-euroCRIS);(COAR-euroCRIS) • European Alliance for the Social Sciences and Humanities (EASSH) • increased membership • increasingly successful conferences • successful seminar series • Rome declaration
Disappointments 1. no compatibility system yet for CERIF 2. no reference implementation of a CERIF-CRIS 3. no euroCRIS portal 4. not enough countries adopting CERIF as national standard 5. no EC funding for euroCRIS infrastructure (compare VIVO 12m $) 6. no DRIS yet 7. no revised best practice yet
Issues • How can we be true to the CERIF model used in new context? • Demo CERIF application (Compatibility, etc) • CERIF accredited CERIF specialists? • Visual material (Newsletter, folders, annual report, seminar report, flyers, etc) • Participation from Board representing euroCRIS at events and promoting euroCRIS
