Plan to Proceed • Various instruments and approaches(MS and NMR). • Study of various format of output as well as stored data , various fields in the output, etc. • Filtering and cleaning of data.
Introduction • Metabolomics has been defined as the identification and quantification of all metabolites in a biological system . • It is becoming a tool in : • The functional annotation of genes and enzymes . • The comprehensive understanding of cellular and organism specific responses to biological, environmental and drug-related perturbations. • Network of biological systems provide such frameworks by defining links between the network components in a bottom to-top approach.
Types of Data • Various types of “omics” data can be used to identify the list of network components and their interactions. • These network represent biochemically, genetically, and genomically structured databases that simultaneously integrate all component data, and can be used to visualize and analyze further , such as : gene expression metabolomicsfluxomics data Biological source
Representation of Database • There are at least three ways to represent databases: • Textual representation, which allows querying of its content; • Graphical representation, which allows the visualization of the network interactions and their components; • Mathematical representation, which enables the usage of a growing number of analytical tools to characterize and study the network properties.
Various Formats Of Data • To capture the required metadata, ArMet encompasses the entire experiment time line and organises it into nine subunits i.e in UML format . • The widely adopted modeling standard UML to represent ArMet. ArMet’s component are modeled as UML packages. • UML is basically used to model the key concepts for each component .
