What we found • Corporate involvement in disaster response is needed • Ericsson and it’s employees have unique capabilities to make a difference • By being a corporate leader of a more efficient response to disaster, Ericsson addresses business and social objectives
Ericsson Response Volunteers • Managers and individuals commitment • In parallel with their normal work • ERV profile and skills • Trained for emergency operations • The ERVs will be used in assessments and relief operations both as individuals and in implementation teams • Missions can be national, regional or international • ERVs will work under the flag of IFRC or the UN in international operations
Global and Local Response programs • Establish a global and local organizations for response to disasters - a global network of Ericsson staff • In major disasters Ericsson Global organization will support the IFRC or UN with volunteers. • Inclusion of partners “Volunteers” into ER disaster operations • Together with local relief organizations, UN and IFRC develop and roll-out country specific programs for local disaster preparedness and response • Develop and support Country Program coordinators and communicators network
