  1. How Does Neurofeedback Therapy Work? biocybernautinstitute.wordpress.com/2021/01/13/how-does-neurofeedback-therapy-work January 13, 2021 What is Neurofeedback Therapy? Neurofeedback therapy is the application of neurofeedback to reduce or eliminate some types of pain in the human body. Neurofeedback therapy is sometimes called neurofeedback or Neurotherapy, and it has been used to treat a variety of different conditions in humans, including chronic pain, ADHD, and more. The therapy is based on the idea that pain is controlled by the brain and that controlling pain levels in the brain can successfully treat many disorders and diseases. Neurofeedback therapists are often involved in the treatment of people who have difficulty coping with daily activities or disorders because they are unable to perform them well, or do so very difficultly. What is Neurofeedback therapy used for? Neurofeedback is sometimes used along with other therapies. For example, neurofeedback therapy is sometimes combined with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Neurofeedback is useful when it is used in conjunction with cognitive-behavioral therapy or counseling for patients who have trouble focusing or controlling their aggressive behavior. Besides, Neurofeedback is helpful in patients who are experiencing excessive daydreaming. Neurofeedback is sometimes used to treat patients with sleep apnea. It may also help to improve symptoms associated with depression, anxiety, OCD, and other mood disorders. Benefits of Neurofeedback therapy: Neurofeedback has many benefits and is often recommended by physicians as a way to help patients treat various health problems. Because the therapy works at the level of the brain, it can often be administered quickly, safely, and painlessly. Neurofeedback is often considered an adjunct to traditional medicine, rather than a replacement for it. When used with other treatments, Neurofeedback helps to improve the effectiveness of these other treatments. Many physicians feel that neurofeedback therapy is particularly useful for patients who have difficulty coping with other medication-based medications and therapies. Some neurofeedback therapists even advocate the use of neurofeedback therapy before or after taking prescribed medications, such as antidepressants. How Neurofeedback therapy works: 1/2

  2. During a Neurofeedback session, the therapist will provide you with visual or auditory instructions that you need to follow to exercise your brain. You may be instructed to move or twist in certain parts of your body. The purpose of this is to cause your brain to respond to the instructions you are giving it, which may help to increase your cognitive abilities. This type of instruction may be helpful in your efforts to reduce or control seizures, improve your memory, manage anxiety, improve your attention span, or to control muscle tension. If you are thinking about undergoing neurofeedback therapy, you should speak with your doctor first. Your doctor will make sure that neurofeedback is right for you, and that your physical condition is suitable for the treatment. Neurofeedback therapy-related guidance and information are available on the internet. You can seek guidance from the internet. There are several sites such as biocybernaut.com and other similar sites that provide full assistance related to Neurofeedback training. 2/2
