Beliefs In the art of Voodoo, Voodooists believe in being one with the earth. There are about 16,000,000 people that belive in Voodoo. They believe that through the gods called “loa” that they are able to somehow connect with their ancestors. They also believe in having ceremonies that are a mix between rituals, séances, and worship services. Once the Vodun leader or priest/priestess falls out, they believe that the loa have taken over their body spiritually and is ready to connect with the other people at the ceremony.

Origins • The Vodun religion was originated in Haiti. • It sprouted off as a form of Catholicism. • It has now spread to many different areas all over the world and there are even people who practice this in Louisiana.
