Cowboy Poetry

Cowboy Poetry. Ghosts of the West by Joel T Bailey Winds blow down dark canyons With a scary, earie moan If you're out there at night It seems like you're not alone . Its not just the timber wolf With his lonesome lonely cry There's a sound on the wind Like a spirit that refuses to die .

  1. Cowboy Poetry

  2. Ghosts of the West by Joel T Bailey Winds blow down dark canyonsWith a scary, earie moanIf you're out there at nightIt seems like you're not alone. Its not just the timber wolfWith his lonesome lonely cryThere's a sound on the windLike a spirit that refuses to die. It's the ghost of many menWho came this way long agoThey crossed dry dusty plainsAnd mountains covered with snow. They forded rivers and blazed trailsFor those who followed behindThey were looking for somethingThat few would ever find.

  3. Time to brainstorm! Time to brainstorm!

  4. Think about what cowboys wear!

  5. Think about the setting! Where can we find cowboys?

  6. What do cowboys do?

  7. Now let’s make a web diagram to get some good ideas for when we start writing our poem! Write the word “cowboy” in the center bubble!
