  1. Next we will begin to use some Mapping Puzzles drawn by Dr. Donald Krall, who worked on glacial geology until his retirement from the department in 2010. They were written as three of many DOS programs, which unfortunately are difficult to use on 64-bit computers. I have snipped the examples and pasted them into PowerPoints. The first introduces basic concepts: apparent thickness at the surface, stream vees, a review of faults and folds, and some map symbols.
