When you give to United Way, you support programs and strategic initiatives that address school readiness, high school graduation and financial stability, the critical elements needed for creating a cycle of success. Together, we have helped thousands of people overcome cycles of hopelessness and find their place on the cycle of success. There is still work to be done, but when we work together, when you support United Way, we get closer and closer to finishing what we have started. Together.

Using your donations, we are working to build a Cycle of Success where • all children start school prepared to learn and go on to graduate • well-educated graduates find good jobs and create stable homes • children from stable homes continue the cycle because they start school prepared to learn.

Our approach is unique: • We invest in programs and initiatives with proven records of success to deliver results. • We lead and support partnerships and collaborations to solve shared community challenges.

Last year, more than 132,000 people benefited from the programs and initiatives your contributions make possible, receiving assistance with life essentials or showing measured improvement in the key areas of School Readiness, High School Graduation or Financial Stability.

  6. The Palmetto Society • United Way of Greenville County donors contributing $1,000 or more annually. • 2015 Palmetto Society Membership represents: • 4,578 individuals contributing • $8 million dollars raised to help our • community. • 48% of the annual community campaign.

Give up a little… Brown bagging your lunch just two days each week (saves $1,000+ annually) GIVE BACK A LOT… Covers the cost of GED exams for 12 individuals looking to build a better life for themselves and their families Give up a little… Cooking at home vs. eating out once a week (saves $1,500+ annually) GIVE BACK A LOT… Provides a week’s worth of groceries for 15 families in need!

Table 301 Downtown Dining Certificates • In recognition of the generosity of Palmetto Society donors, the Table 301 family of restaurants invites Palmetto Society donors to a year-long celebration in 2016. • Donors will receive $25 certificates* for: • Donors will receive $20 certificates* for: • *Good toward purchase of 2 entrees.
