10. Digestion The major function of digestion process is to prepare the substances for the process of excretion. Digestion is the process in which food molecules are broken down by gasses and stomach acid.

11. Respiration The function of the Respiratory System is to supply blood throughout your body using airways, lungs, blood vessels, muscles, and you heart to work together and move oxygen throughout your body.

12. Reproduction Reproduction is the process by which living things produce new individuals of the same type. Example: Mommy + Daddy= Baby

13. Circulation The Circulatory system is what sends blood from your heart all the way to every part of your body! The blood contains oxygen which provides your body with energy. • The circulatory and respiration systems work together to move the blood all around your body! Similar to this fan, it moves the air to all places to cool off the room.

14. Protection of disease Barriers such as the skin, breathing passages, mouth, and stomach trap and kill most pathogens (organisms that cause disease) with which you come into contact. Example: When you breath in through your nose, pharynx, trachea, and bronchi, they contain a lot of mucus and cilia which stop the germs in their tracks!

15. Movement, Control, and Coordination of the Body Movement, control, and coordination all work together as one big process. For example, your brain controls the movement of your feet as you walk, but without good coordination you would probably fall to the ground.

16. Excretion The excretory system is the system in the body that collects wastes produced by cells and removes the wastes from the body. If waste was not taken away it would pile up and make you very sick. For humans, the waste is deposited in a toilet.
