Pink River Dolphin The pink river dolphin is classified as a mammal because they are warm blooded. Their skin is smooth and feels like a rubber ball, even though they have a few hairs on their body.
Pink river dolphin The pink river dolphin is classified as amammal becausethey have live births. They breathe through lungs and have a blowhole. That is why they come up to the surface
Pink River Dolphin • It does not have camouflage. They sometimes stay together in a small group for protection. Dolphins go up to the air for a little while to get air for their blowhole.
Habitat • The pink river dolphin lives by the Orinoco River. This river is in South America. It is in the Rainforest.
Interesting facts • They have bodies that are extremely flexible. • Pink dolphins hunt alone. • They are found in small family groups of 5-8 animals which seem to be led by a male leader.
Interesting fact... There are 30 different types of dolphins. Lots of dolphins have been dying. Calves can be born between July and September.
Pink River Dolphin adaptation • They live in the rainforest. • When they hunt for food they go alone.
